REGISTER FOR YOUR NEW ACCOUNT

(instructions below for faculty and staff only)  For cash student print projects email files and information to duplicating@uwplatt.edu or call 608.342.1848. Do not attempt to register for an account.

All individuals need to register for an account in order to place print orders. Please follow the instructions below.

 

  1. Click "Log In" in the upper right corner and enter your UW-Platteville username and password. 
  2. Fill in the required information. For "Site/Department" choose the department you most often submit orders for. We realize many people are associated with multiple departments, but list your primary. For "Site Address Line 1" list your primary room number and building. Click update.
  3. Next you will receive an email asking you to email all account codes that you will need to use on print or mail orders to duplicating@uwplatt.edu. Be sure to include account manager/signator approval with that submission, unless you are the signator or manager.
  4. You will receive a confirmation email that your account is ready to go once we add required account codes.

After your registration is complete, you can return to campus.uwplatt.edu/go/printrequest and use our new convenient order process to submit your print orders.

SPECIAL NOTES: Please put in correct specifications/size for each print order. If your order isn't submitted at the correct size, our database cannot calculate your print needs/cost estimate correctly. If you are questioning the correct size of your project, contact Marketing Design or our office. Make sure the JOB NAME area on the print form is filled out with the exact name of your file. If the file is coming from Marketing Design, include the 6 digit project number in the JOB NAME.

 

PLACING AN ORDER

Once you are a registered user, go to our storefront to place new orders, look up old orders, and review reports. 

To place a new order, click on the "New Order" drop down and choose "Printing Order". Thirteen print categories pop up. They include business cards, postcards, black and white copies, color copies, posters, program/booklets, brochures, large format, manuals/books, bookmarks, envelopes, name tags, and I Don't See My Option. Choose a category that best fits your project, and you will be guided through the ordering process. If you don't see paper or finishing choices you need, just list them in the special instruction box. 

Please use the "I don't see my option" category if none of the other choices meet your requirements. In the Special Instructions box explain the specifications for your project. We will contact you if we have questions.

You will be given the option to attach a file or you may choose to drop the file in our dropbox as before, or have Publications drop the file if they helped you with design. Be sure the PDF file name matches the Job Name listed on your order form. If using a file from Publications, be sure to include their job number and file name in the Job Name field.

One of our newest print options is white or clear ink. We currently stock a dark blue cover stock paper for this printing. Options include cards, invites, book covers, etc. Talk to one of our staff about this option.

 

FINISHING OPTIONS 

We offer a wide array of finishing options for your print projects.

• 3 hole drilling • Perfing/Scoring • Cutting • Tabbing  • First Class/Bulk Mailing 

 

A reminder about file submission. There are four options for submitting files: attach file to print form, email file to duplicating@uwplatt.edu, drop the file in our duplicating dropbox, or have Marketing Design drop your final PDF file after you have approved the design.

 

In all cases, the only file type that will be accepted is a high resolution PDF at the size of the project we are printing. If the project requires bleeds, please allow a .25" bleed on all sides when creating your PDF. Be sure to include in the Special Instructions box the finished size of projects.

PLACING AN ORDER FOR A PERSONAL PROJECT

We can also assist you with personal printing such as invites, posters, fliers, business cards, etc. Please email these project requests directly to duplicating@uwplatt.edu. DO NOT USE THE PRINT FORM. In your email include specifications for paper, ink, cuts, quantity, etc. Attach your PDF file.
